Austin, MAKE IT HAPPEN! from The Austin Grand Prix on Vimeo.
Last summer we attended the Canadian Grand Prix and were elated to attend Will Buxton's Tweetup at a Montreal pub. It was there that we met Will, Karun Chandhok, "Charlie Whiting" (on Twitter, at least) and loads of people excited about Formula 1 returning to America! Will's been a great supporter of the return of the USGP - he helped us shoot the video above, which was aired at a vital Austin City Council meeting, he tuned into our city council meetings while in paddocks around the world, and he even wrote a letter to our City Council during one of the numerous approval meetings.
It should come as no surprise then that Will is looking forward to meeting his fans and friends at a pub this Friday, November 16 to enjoy a few beers in Austin! So we've partnered with him to host a great event at Fado Irish Pub in downtown Austin. There will be a karaoke contest for TW Steel watches and the event will make a positive impact on the local community, as we're asking for a $5 donation at the door to go towards our charity partner, Meals on Wheels and More.
So please join us this Friday night at Fado Irish Pub at 8:00PM CST to thank Will for his support of the F1 USGP and enjoy the company of F1 friends from around the world!

The climb up to Turn 1 at Circuit of The Americas (© The Austin Grand Prix)
It is a time to celebrate. To roll out the barrels. To fly the banners. To wave the flags. To welcome the world to the inaugural Austin Grand Prix. However, with Austin’s reputation as ‘The Live Music Capital of the World’, you can guarantee that Travis County will be a rockin’ and a rollin’ and struttin’ its stuff like there is no tomorrow and Iain Robertson declares that nobody could be more delighted.
A short message from Timo Glock of Marussia F1 Team:

// No More Limits
COTA's initial announcement of the limitation on camera lens length sent the whole world up-in-arms. Anyone who has been to any car race, knows that everyone and their mother is carrying a camera, some of them far larger and more impressive than the equipment carried by the professional photographers there doing their job.
Thankfully, COTA retracted their limitations and declared lenses of any length acceptable for the November USGP. Even though these limits are removed, there's little guarantee you're going to get great results from your camera. So before you carry in that giant 20 inch lens you've just bought to photograph rare and elusive wildlife, we should talk tactics to help you get the best images you can. Chances are the 70-300mm f4-5.6 or the 70-200mm f2.8 tele-zoom you already own is more than sufficient so let's explore how to use what you have to it's absolute maximum potential.
